This comprehensive work provides a unified definition of health management, addressing its critical role in shaping sustainable and equitable health systems. The article is available as open access, allowing professionals worldwide to benefit from its insights.<\/p>\n<p>While healthcare management has long been established, it primarily focuses on operational efficiency within healthcare facilities. However, health management extends this vision by integrating public health principles, health policy development, and governance structures to address broader social, economic, and environmental determinants of health. By informing curricula that equip health managers to navigate complex systems, guiding evidence-based policies that promote efficiency, sustainability, and equity, and supporting collaborative governance models, this article delivers far-reaching implications for health systems.<\/p>\n<p>Authored by George Valiotis, Sandra C.
